Job Title: Territory Manager 

Location: South East US Territory 

Reports to:  Sales Management 

Primary Purpose of Position: 

Responsible for managing and implementing sales and marketing plan within an assigned geographic region. Accountable for sales, margin and expense to obtain annual budget. Responsible for personal sales contacts for AgriLabs’ distributors and distributor representatives in the territory. Responsible for sales contacts with key veterinarians, dairies, cattle operations and animal health dealers in assigned territory. 

Expected Job Responsibilities and Behavior:  

• Achieve territory sales targets and corporate objectives. Represent and sell AgriLabs products,   programs and services to existing customers. 

• Prospect and seek new customers and sales opportunities to expand product use.

• Implement AgriLabs vaccine  territory sales plans to achieve sales and corporate targets.

• Implement sales and marketing plans in territory per annual plan. 

• Provide oversight and sales direction to Flex Rep team if assigned to TM territory.

• Conduct producer, grower, dealer and veterinary meetings in territory.

• Initiate sales contact with key influential customers in territory.

• Provide territory and market activities in regards to competition, products, pricing, programs, and competitors to the marketing staff at AgriLabs.

• Develop annual sales plan for assigned AgriLabs sales territory.

• Report to and support direction given by Sales Management. 

• Prepare weekly sales and expense reports on a timely basis and submit to reporting manager.

• Represent professionally AgriLabs at regional or state trade shows focusing on sales and lead generation of prospects.

• Communicate with customer service to optimize customer satisfaction, achieve sales targets in accordance to company policies and objectives.

• Train and develop key distributor representatives on key AgriLabs products.

• Analyze customer data and target customers to achieve best results.

• In put weekly sales call and competitive intelligence information into CRM system.

• Develop and provide quarterly territory plans to sales/marketing. 

Education: 4-year college degree and/or 6 years sales experience. 

Experience: Previous sales experience preferred. Must be able to work well in a team environment. Have knowledge of the agriculture industry. 

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills a must. Positive can do attitude with staff. Computer and phone skills are extremely important. Decision-Making: Able to make independent decisions within defined guidelines set forth by Sales Management. 

Travel: As required by job and set forth by Sales Management.  Travel is extensive and overnight travel is required to perform job functions.

Job Title:Technical Services Manager

Reports to: Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Overall Responsibilities: The Technical Services Manager is a field based position responsible for technical support to Sales and Marketing. Furthermore, this position develops key business relationships and provides technical information to key customer groups (veterinary practitioners, consultants, producer and distributors) in the large animal business segment.

Job Duties and Functions – Technical Services Manager:

•  Communication of technical aspects of cattle products to AgriLabs customers.

• Provide technical support for AgriLabs cattle products and programs, including response to and follow up on inquiries and adverse reaction reports via telephone or site visits as appropriate.

• Provide creative input to marketing for new and existing animal health programs.

• Identify needs for new products and line extensions of current products.

• Assist creation of business relationships with AgriLabs and its customer groups (veterinarians, producers, distributors).

• Perform product information training for AgriLabs sales and customer service and AgriLabs distributors.

• Interact with Business Unit Managers (marketing) to present appropriate bovine medicine topics and product information to any relevant parties.

• Evaluate and provide guidance on business development issues related to cattle product

• Monitor clinical field studies as assigned.           

• Provide project and program oversight from a technical/management perspective in key areas of livestock pharmaceuticals and biologicals.

• Participate and provide technical leadership in management planning meetings with sales and marketing managers

• Assure Technical Services compliance to appropriate SOPs and regulatory guidelines in the conduct of product complaint handling and customer queries, providing oversight guidance in these efforts.


–    Education

• D.V.M. or equivalent degree.  Postgraduate work in related biological sciences, such as internal medicine is desirable.

–    Experience 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Services role or commensurate experience focusing on cattle

–    Related Skills

• Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all customer groups. 

• Ability to interact with marketing and sales staff and management in a team environment is essential. 

• The candidate is expected to make independent decisions in support of veterinarians, livestock producers and distribution along guidelines set forth by Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

–    Travel:

• The position involves 50% to 75% time on business travel.  This includes sales and marketing support business trips as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, as well as appropriate conferences, conventions, and trade shows.

• Field based.
